Our Story
We had served as "St.Stephen's United Methodist Church" for more than 100 years in this location. Our new vision as LightPoint Church has begun with a new call from God. Jesus says "No one puts new wine into old wineskins" (Mark 2:22). While respecting and honoring traditional ministry and our church's legacy, we decided to obey God's call by becoming a new church plant as "LightPoint Church." For people who want to bear new wine for the gospel, justice, and discipleship, we are here to become a new wineskin together.
As for our name LightPoint Church, Jesus says "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden" (Matthew 5:14). We are called to be a light serving and transforming the city of Boston through worship, mission, discipleship, and justice. But our ultimate goal is not just to shine. We envision to be a light leading people to the source of our light which is Jesus Christ.

A: We are the United Methodist Church.
Q: Can I bring my kids/babies to the service?
A: Yes! All ages are welcome to the service.
Q: How about mask policy in the church building?
A: There is no mask requirement in the church building at this time. However, you are welcome to wear a mask if you want!
